Open to players at various levels, this league will feature top-tier competition from across the globe, giving participants a unique experience to compete and develop their skills alongside some of the best talent in hockey. With a focus on skill-building, game strategy, and high-intensity competition, our summer league will provide the perfect platform for players to sharpen their abilities during the offseason. All games will be scored through Gamesheet. Every game, along with its scoring, statistics, and brackets, will be featured on the app, making it an essential tool for teams and fans following our teams competing for the 1st Annual Global Summer League Championship.

SUMMER LEAGUE APPLICATION PROCESS

The application process for the GHS Global Summer League is designed to ensure that teams are committed and ready to compete at a high level. Here’s how it works:

  1. Team Registration: Interested teams must submit an online application through the GHS website. The application includes team details such as age group, skill level, coach and management contact information, and prior tournament experience.
  2. Application Review: Once the application is received, the GHS organizing committee will review the team’s background and competitive history to ensure they meet the standards of the league.
  3. Selection Criteria: Teams are selected based on factors such as past performance, skill level, sportsmanship, and commitment to development. The selection process is competitive, and teams are chosen to ensure balanced competition.
  4. Payment and Confirmation: After a team is accepted, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure their spot in the league. Full payment details will be provided with acceptance.
  5. Final Confirmation: Once payment is received, teams will receive a confirmation email with details regarding schedules, rules, and expectations for the summer league.
  6. Onboarding: Teams will also be briefed on the logistics of the league, including access to player stats, training resources, and game schedules.

This application process ensures a competitive and organized league for teams across the globe.

The GHS Global Summer League is open to teams at various levels. Teams from all over the world can apply, including those competing at AA, AAA, and elite levels. Whether you’re part of a travel team, a club team, or a select team, you can apply to participate. The league is designed to accommodate teams seeking high-level competition and development opportunities, offering a unique chance to compete against top talent from across the globe. Applications are reviewed based on team credentials and competitive history to ensure a strong level of play throughout the league.

In the GHS Global Summer League, each team is guaranteed a minimum of 5 games, per showcase, depending on the division and format. This includes round-robin games, followed by playoff or championship rounds for teams that advance, at the end of the season. The league is designed to provide competitive and meaningful gameplay while ensuring ample opportunities for player development and team bonding throughout the summer season

The Championship Weekend for the GHS Global Summer League typically takes place in late July, though exact dates may vary based on the year and location. It is the culminating event where top teams from each division compete for the title, wrapping up the summer league in an exciting finale. Teams will be informed of the exact dates at the start of the league season.

A team becomes eligible for Championship Weekend in the GHS Global Summer League by performing well during the regular season and playoffs and competing in at least 4 showcase weekends. Eligibility is determined based on the team’s win-loss record, points accumulated throughout the season, and performance in any playoff rounds or qualifying matches. Teams that rank among the top of their divisions or win specific playoff games earn a spot in the Championship Weekend, where they will compete for the title against other top-performing teams.
