OUTDOOR WINTER CLASSIC

Join us in Ann Arbor, Michigan, at Whitmore Lake for an exceptional lineup of hockey showcase tournaments, including the eagerly anticipated outdoor ice tournament. This year is set to outshine previous ones, showcasing talents from college hockey teams and offering unparalleled opportunities at the exposure cup hockey tournament.

All teams are rostered on Gamesheet and/or Regystra. Every game, along with its scoring, statistics, and brackets, will be featured on the app or onsite gamesheets, making it an essential tool for following the action packed weekend.

5 Games Guaranteed (Consultation & Championships not included)
5v5 format with pond hockey nets. Goalies not needed and we encourage them to skate up. (16U and Men’s levels are 4v4 format)
(2) 15 minute half’s are played, not your traditional (3) 14 minute periods

DATES & TIME: February 13th-16th, 2026
AGE LEVELS: U6, U7, U8, U10, U12, U14, U16
DIVISIONS: B, A, AA-limited teams allowed for the U8/U10/U12/U14/U16 age groups
FEE: $1000.00 PER TEAM
RINK LOCATION: Whitmore Lake, Michigan (10 minutes from downtown Ann Arbor)

YOUTH REGISTRATION

Tournament Details (Youth)

Youth hockey tournaments are not your typical showcase hockey tournaments but a new way to play and experience hockey tournaments near you like it used to be! All games are played 5v5 for the youth level, all night games have proper lighting. Each game has a minimum of 2 referees and is played without boards. All rinks are typically 200×85 size; however, we play without boards and with snow piles (which also reduce potential injury), making it one of the best youth hockey tournaments and a unique Michigan ice hockey tournament.

We have benches for spectators, viewing tents, open bonfires by each rink, and warming supplies available, offering hockey opportunities for all.

Due to the volume of teams and people attending, we limit the number of individuals on the ice to 3,000 people at one time, making it a North American showcase.

Upon registration, an information packet will be emailed to your team manager, providing details about this hockey showcase and making it a prime opportunity for top college hockey recruits in 2026 to showcase their skills.

WHAT OUR EVENT PROVIDES

BBQ & FOOD VENDORS ON SITE

Our vendors will be grilling, smoking, and making fresh burgers, hot dogs, pizza, chicken tenders, fries, onion rings, ribs, beef jerky, snacks and steaks!

DRINKS

We will be providing adult beverages, hot chocolates, fountain drinks, coffee, BioSteel, waters, and espresso’s.

ICE RINKS

We have 15-20 rinks running simultaneously, if your team is on a break or have down time, just in an adult game yourself, go fishing, go sledding or catch another game.

WARMING TENTS & LOCKER ROOMS

All players will get dressed in a fully heated outdoor tent. We will also have various warming tents onsite for spectators, food tents to enjoy our local foods and our band tent.

BAND

We have a local band attending for opening kickoff Thursday evening with fun games and activities for the kids. All players/goalies need to check in for their entry bag with apparel, warmers, and a medal commemorating the 1st Outdoor Classic.
